Our College
Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology was established in 1998–1999. Our college became autonomous in 2020. It is rightly named after the Son of the Soil, Bharat Ratna Sri K. Kamaraj, who was an undisputed leader of the oppressed and a champion of free education for the masses.Our college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and accredited by NBA and NAAC with an 'A' Grade. It is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, and is promoted and supported by Virudhunagar Hindu Nadar’s Mahamai Tharappus in Virudhunagar.The college attracts outstanding students from different parts of India due to its discipline and infrastructure facilities. Our college has a rich legacy of 25 years and currently offers 9 undergraduate (UG) programs, 2 postgraduate (PG) programs, and 8 research centers. Among the 9 departments, 7 (CSE, ECE, IT, MTR, EEE, Mechanical, and Biotechnology) are NBA-accredited.
Department of ECE
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in 1998. In 2011, the department introduced a postgraduate program, M.E. in Communication and Networking.The department has received NBA reaccreditation for the period 2023 to 2026. It is recognized as a Research Center by Anna University, Chennai. Additionally, it houses a Center of Excellence – Tessolve Lab for industry-based learning.The department has 13 highly qualified and well-experienced faculty members. It is well-equipped with fully air-conditioned laboratories to meet both academic and industry requirements. The department also organizes various value-added programs and seminars to keep students and faculty updated with knowledge of emerging technologies and industrial applications.
